　　TRP channels: A rising star molecular in diverse aspects of life

　　Transient receptor potential (TRP) channels attract more and more attentions for their diverse roles in life, such as somatosensory, behavior, development and so on. In this club time, Dr. He Zhuohao will tell you a story on the history of discovering the TRP, and some information on the general features, activation mechanisms and some functions of TRP channels, especially the TRPC channels as far as he know. At the end of the talk, he will also discuss with you about his ideal on how the TRP exert their functions in a noncanonical way in some circumstances. After the club, he hopes you will have a general idea about what TRP channels is and what some major functions they have been discovered in the physiological and pathological conditions. Thank you.
