Below is a brief introduction from him:
Epilepsy is a common and refractory neurological disorder which affects many people worldwide, but the regulatory mechanisms of epileptogenesis remain largely unclear. For Yi-Chao’s warm invitation, I will introduce the history, therapies, animal models of epilepsy and show our findings in a more detailed and popular way on the novel function of Neuregulin 1 in limbic epileptogenesis, in order to provide a close view of epilepsy for anyone who is interested in but still not very familiar with this field. This talk will also include some current cellular and molecular studies focused on epileptogenesis. Looking forward to free discussion with you!
